Sorry For the Delay

Can't believe it has been so long since I posted last. I haven't really done a whole lot of scrapbooking since before Christmas. Christmas time all I made were cards. The new year has brought two new projects - I am feeling ambitious.

1. Redo boys' baby albums. This has been on my mind for several years now. Pics are in those old sticky backed albums. The glue in them is horrible and pages/photos turn yellow over time.

2. Help revamp JSI's wedding invitation samples.

I have started on the second project already (see pics below), baby pages to follow.

Stockpile - Part Two

The Christmas Card Stockpile

I always seem to do things the difficult way. Instead picking one design and repeating, I design a whole bunch of different ones. Sigh. Goes to show you where my brain is at these days...

Tis The Season

for making Christmas cards...
I couldn't decide on one design for my cards this year. I tend to get easily distracted with new product that comes into JSI and end up making all sorts of things. :) This, from the Bobunny line: Father Christmas. Holly is handcut with stickle berries added. The design was based on a sketch from the Bobunny blog I believe. I will post more cards later this week, till then happy crafting!

A Sweet Card

Based on an idea I saw in a magazine - Beautiful Cards maybe? I know, I have to get better at writing down sources. Used real lifesavers. I challenge you to make a sweet card by using real candy and send me a pic. Have a lovely day!

I'm bacccckkkkk!

Well, after a long absence I now have incentive to make regular contributions to my blog. My boss Ralna at 'Just Scrap It' here in Saskatoon has recently added my blog address to our site. Yikes! It is hoped I would inspire others to come in to the store and make some cards and pages. So, here goes...

Card using tim holtz die, stickles, a little texture template, and a scrap of patterned paper that was under the counter. :) The label is meant to be 'wet' looking. No, did not spill my drink on it.

Till next time ...

New Baby Card

My neice just had a baby girl. Didn't want to send a card with a sappy poem in it. This seemed to do the trick though.

Some 'not so Halloween' cards

Inspiration:
I really like all the Halloween themed papers, embellishments, etc. but have few pictures to go with. Was thinking of ways to use in cards so that they could be sent year round. A previous post showed one I did for a get well card, this one is for a birthday. Picture on the front is actually stamp by Outlines Rubber Stamping Company. I coloured it with watercolours and added some gold stickles.

Thank a teacher today!

Today is world teachers' day!

Sent a couple of cards to school with the boys this morning. The top ten list came from somewhere off the net. Will look up source and give credit here later.

New Cards

One girlfriend just had a baby boy and one girlfriend just had back surgery -- good incentive to make cards.

Really like the witch one. I wonder if she think of me whenever she sees it?

If anyone has any great card sayings to do with witches and spells - please send!

Some birthday cards I made from a kit - Card Kit in a Stack (DCWV). Tried to use only what was included except for some artwork from Stampin Up and some lettering was done on the computer. I think I made at least a dozen cards? Fun challenge for myself = huge mess on the dining room table.
